Stephen started working in recording studios at age 16, sitting in on sessions with Steven Haigler [R.E.M., Pixies, Fuel, As Tall As Lions] at Reflection Sound Studios in Charlotte, North Carolina. After making his way to New York, he graduated cum laude from New York University’s Music Technology program with a Bachelor of Music. During his studies, he spent several years assisting Brooklyn indie-rock producer Godfrey Diamond, and aided in the construction of the boutique Williamsburg recording studio MetroSonic.

After graduating, he produced, programmed, and mixed records for various independent New York area artists before beginning a long-time relationship with Brooklyn design firm Big Spaceship as their resident Sound Designer and Composer. As a freelancer, Stephen has worked with the digital agencies Atmosphere BBDO, Your Majesty Co., Luxurious Animals, VerticPortals, as well as Big Spaceship. Clients include American Express, Warner Bros., Weinstein Co., Sony Pictures, Coke, Nike, and many others.

In 2009 Stephen joined THQ developer Volition, where he has enjoyed the most creatively & personally fulfilling period of his life.
